History of VEKA

VEKA, originally Vekaplast in Germany, shifted from roller shutters to window systems under Heinrich Laumann's leadership in 1971. Their groundbreaking manufacturing site in 1977 spurred global expansion.

In 1986, VEKA established its US presence with a state-of-the-art facility in Fombell, PA, followed by a tool and die department in 1988. Expansions included VEKA West in Nevada (1995) and VEKA South in Texas (2006).

Despite challenges in the US housing market, VEKA surpassed one billion in sales in 2010.

Expansion continued with VEKA East in North Carolina in 2018. The company celebrated its 50th global anniversary in 2019 and marked four decades in North America in 2023, reaffirming its industry leadership.
