CAD/CAM Technical Designer

CAD/CAM Technical Designers use their extensive software knowledge to produce complex projects involving 2D images (surface modeling) and 3D images (solid modeling).

They analyze a problem using their mathematical and engineering backgrounds to develop a creative solution. CAD/CAM Technical Designers work closely with Tool and Die and Engineering teams on various tooling projects.

Additional Work Competency:

  • Computer-Aided Machining
  • Precision Machining - Use of hand tools, layout, inspection, lathe, surface grinding, manual milling, CNC milling, EDM
  • Precision Die Making
