Announcing Launch of Commercial Window Program

PVC Profile extruder VEKA Inc. based in Fombell, Pennsylvania announced today its official launch of a commercial window and door program. The German based extruder has been working with these products for close to a year now in an effort to test the potential of these European style windows and doors for the commercial market. The baseline product offering is spawned from years of proven performance in the European market. Kevin Seiling, General Manager of the commercial window division states, “ Although VEKA vinyl windows have been installed in commercial applications all over the world for many years, the American market has been slow to change. However, with recent and upcoming energy code changes and government programs like LEED, there is a greater demand for more energy efficient products like PVC windows which is unparalleled in the residential window and door industry as far as thermal performance is concerned.”

The PVC products being introduced by VEKA, are all steel reinforced and will be manufactured in the Pennsylvania facility, as well as other partners in the US, Mexico and Canada. The product line will carry Commercial(C), Heavy Commercial (HC) and Architectural grade (AW) ratings. Product types will include Tilt Turns, Project-in, Project-out, Fixed, Casements, Fold and Slide, Swing, Sliding, Parallel Tilt and Slide, and a Lift and Slide (Coming Soon). VEKA is also pursuing impact rating for these products and will be focusing their sales efforts on store-fronts, schools, and institutional projects but notes that these products will suit most applications. “The most recent bill signed by congress, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), tremendously helps this segment of our business as we have the perfect product that meets the energy codes that will be an important part of this act.”, states Mr. Seiling. “We plan on attacking this market vigorously and will prove the viability of PVC in the commercial market place.”
